Passport AR is an augmented reality for conventions solution best used, for example, to increase foot traffic to smaller or lesser-known convention booths. It’s more of an “on rails” scenario than our other Passport AR packages, akin to a tour. However, unlike a tour, the points of interest (POIs) that attendees visit are coupled with immersive narratives, engaging challenges, and competitive play.
Passport AR integrates the average app you’d expect at a convention, with features like location maps and a speaker schedule but goes exponentially farther in immersion, acting as an engaging game that attendees can take part in between sessions—but also as a way to level up their core experience, with mechanisms to earn branded merchandise or access to a totally unexpected VIP experience. It’s all about you being able to go beyond your customers’ expectations.
At conventions so many people wander around, missing booths they should have gone to.
An engaging augmented reality experience made just for the convention would remedy that.
What’s In An App?
*no campfire required’s Passport AR promises an augmented reality for conventions experience that is customized and branded on iOS and Android devices. It also includes the suite of options you would expect from a Convention mobile app, such as:
Live Map – Find clues for the game. Find the stages. Find coffee. Our mapping system keeps your guests on track, even on a branded map.
Game play – Each game is a journey. Clues appear as AR or other elements along the way to help players get to the end.
AR POIs – AR elements appear as you navigate through your real-life environment. You collect them. You listen to them. You watch them. They help you on your journey.
Earn Badges – Find things. Collect things. Accomplish goals. Earn badges for your accomplishments. Redeem those badges for real-life access, discounts, and more.
A Tailored Experience: The Curated Experience
Curated Experiences are usually developed for timely deployment situations. These Experiences are shorter and less complicated; they’re not intended to be the main draw but rather to augment the “main show”.
These Experiences are designed to lead players along a specific path or sequence of POIs. This is beneficial for conventions, for example, to increase foot traffic to smaller or lesser-known booths. They do not offer the player the agency that our other Story Block solution does; this is by design. Augmented Reality for Conventions Experiences are more of an “on rails” scenario and are more akin to a tour. However, unlike a tour, these are coupled with immersive narratives, engaging challenges, and competitive play. These are best for conventions where repeat visitors are not a critical component. The standard configuration of a single Curated Experience is 3 Adventures with 3 Challenges each.
